Firing Services

Bisque and cone 6 glaze firing available.

Bisque to cone 04 - compatible with nearly all commercial glazes
please make sure to remove all armature and foreign material prior to drop-off

Glaze fire to cone 6 - glaze must be applied correctly.
Bottom of the pot must be clean and free of any glaze.

Anything determined to be unsafe to fire will not be fired.

The process:

1st. Determine your space needs

• create a 12 inch by 12 inch square on a piece of paper or a table
• place your work in that square, leaving 3/8 inch between pots
  
• measure the tallest pot in the bunch and write down the height(H)
• now multiply that number(H) x 144 then divide by 1728
  • (H x 144)/1728 = the number of cubic feet required to accommodate your work

2nd. Purchase your kiln space

3rd. Check your email for a form

• fill out the form
• photograph your pots (for your records and to help with identification)
• schedule drop off

4th. Drop your pots off*, wait a week, pick them up!

• *  sorry, there isn't space to leave your boxes and packing material, please don't leave it here - it will get recycled or turned into a soccer goal by my children
